Rural Families Speak about Health (RFSH), 2008-2014

The Rural Families Speak about Health project is also referred to as NC1171.

The overall objective of RFSH is to determine the interactions of individual, family, community, and policy contexts on physical and mental health in diverse rural low-income families.

Specific goals of RFSH include:
  1. To examine individual and family level characteristics which impact physical and mental health in diverse rural low-income families.
  2. To examine community contexts that impact family mental and physical health in diverse rural low-income families.
  3. To examine policies that impact family mental and physical health in diverse rural low-income families.
  4. To examine interactions of individual, family, community, and policy on mental and physical health in diverse rural low-income families.

RFSH project is a multi-state research project, funded by Agricultural Experiment Stations in participating states and other sources. For more information, contact state PI’s.
